On October 2, NTPC underpass in Noida will be Opened !

Noida authority chief executive officer Alok Tandon, together with other officials, on Tuesday, inspected the underpass site and directed the workers to finish the work by the end of September. Tandon conjointly inspected the sector 71 metro station, that is the initial station on 29.71 km Noida-Greater Noida metro link, that is expected to open by October this year.

The work on the project was held up owing to the delay in shifting utility services that were passing through the land earmarked for the project. The authority started work on the tunnel on June thirty, 2015, with a point in time of 2016-end. The underpass at the busy traffic intersection close to the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Sector 24 & 32, that had been delayed by nearly 2 years, is going to be opened to the public on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

The underpass has been designed at a price of Rs 55.55 crore. it's 640 meters long and is at the intersection of Sector 24, 25A, 32 and 33A. The intersection popularly referred to as NTPC Chowk, is used by thousands of motorists daily. The authority has diverted the traffic at this intersection since the work started in 2015

Rajiv Tyagi, general manager, Noida authority, aforesaid that As per the directions of the CEO, we are going to complete the work on the NTPC underpass by September-end. it'll be opened to motorists on October 2. The project is nearly ready and that we are giving it final touches.
The authority had earlier planned to try and do the tiling work on the pillars and walls of the underpass.

Now, rather than the tiling work, we are going to plaster the walls and pillars and build artistic styles on them in order that the complete structure is a lot of pleasing to the attention. we are about to rope in a creator for the work. we tend to aim to end the plastering and painting work by September, Tyagi said.

Once this underpass is opened, motorists can realize relief from the constant snarls at the NTPC intersection. it'll ease congestion on the stretch that connects Sector 21 (Noida Stadium)/Sector 22 with Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera (DSC) Road. The stretch can become signal-free because the city center intersection already had an underpass.
